    Competitive Strategy, Management Accounting System Information and Customer-related Performance

    This study aims to analyse how competitive strategy and managerial use of the management accounting system (MAS) information may affect customer-related performance in the hotel industry. An online survey involving 116 hotel general managers (GMs) was conducted to collect data from 3- to 5-star hotels located in Indonesia. Additionally, in-depth interviews with 19 GMs were performed in order to enhance the validity of the research findings and make the discussion of the results more informative. Based on the analysis, the results revealed that managerial use of MAS information may enhance customer-related performance in the hotel industry after competitive strategy has been applied. This paper provides empirical evidence on the relationship between competitive strategy, managerial use of MAS information, and customer-related performance of hotel industry in Indonesia

    Nilai keterampilan RJP pada mahasiswa Si Keperawatan di Yogyakarta secara umum masih dibawah dari standar yang diharapkan, hal ini mengakibatkan kepercayaan diri mereka rendah ketika harus melakukan tindakan RJP baik di rumah sakit maupun di luar rumah sakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa perbedaan nilai kompresi dada dan ventilasi pada pelatihan RJP dengan 3 metode umpan Balik yang berbeda.Penelitian Experimental, randomized pretest-posttest design, dengan membandingkan hasil nilai kompresi dan ventilasi dari tiga kelompok yang mendapatkan intervensi. Sampel diambil secara random, dibagi dalam tiga kelompok. Kelompok 1 adalah kelompok mahasiswa yang mengikuti pelatihan RJP yang mendapatkan demonstrasi skill dengan umpan Balik instruktur. Kelompok 2 dengan umpan Balik audiovisual.Kelompok ke 3 dengan kombinasi keduanya.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua nilai baik kompresi dada maupun volume ventilasi tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan. Rerata kedalaman kompresi dada dengan α 0,097, Rerata kecepatan dengan α0,064, Untuk komponen ventilasi (rerata volume ventilasi) dengan capaian nilai α 0,106.Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat perbedaan nilai kompresi dan ventilasi RJP pada ketiga metode pembelajaran. Yang berarti ketiga metode sama-sama bisa dipakai sebagai metode pembelajaran keterampilan RJP khususnya pada pendidikan S1 Keperawatan di Yogyakarta

    Selection of Representative Kansei Adjectives using Cluster Analysis: A Case Study on Car Design

    This study aims to select the representative Kansei adjectives or words in Kansei engineering methodology. This study used the passenger car design as its experimental case study. A two-stage cluster analysis was carried out for selecting the representative Kansei adjectives. The selection process of the representative Kansei adjectives was determined based on the smallest distance of individual Kansei adjective to the centroid of each cluster. Thus, the results indicated that ‘modern', ‘elegant, ‘sporty', and ‘youthful' were thereupon selected as appropriate adjectives to represent the initial set of Kansei adjectives. As a conclusion, the cluster analysis method was able to systematically select the representative Kansei adjective and easily interpretable for Kansei engineering

    Kemanakah arah pendidikan Islam di masa depan harus dibawa? Sebuah pertanyaan klasik yang sering muncul tetapi sekaligus menantang bagi para civitas akademikanya untuk selalu memberikan jawabannya. Entah siapa yang salah, hingga saat ini, masyarakat umum masih mempunyai persepsi kurang menguntungkan terhadap pendidikan Islam. Faktanya, masih banyak pilihan orang tua memasukkan anaknya ke pendidikan Islam sebagai pilihan kedua setelah pilihan pertama ke lembaga pendidikan umum. Satu masalah bagi civitas akademika pendidikan islam untuk terus meneruskan jati dirinya agar lebih acceptable bagi masyarakat luas. Karena itu, pendidikan Islam harus selalu memperbaruhi sumber daya ke pendidikannya agar relevan dengan perkembangan masyarakat pengunanya. Agar arah pendidikan Islam dimasa depan tidak sekedar mengikuti arus Perubahan yang telah terjadi, maka pendidikan Islam perlu untuk memikirkan kembali filsafat, teori, dan kurikulum pendidikannya. Dengan demikian pendidikan islam tidak akan kehilangan jati dirinya sendiri, tetapi justru yang terjadi adalah pendidikan islam tidak akan memainkan peranan aktif dalam arus pergaulan global yang sedang berjalan ini

    The Use of Mineral and Organic Soil Conditioner to Improve Soil Quality of Typic Kanhapludults Tamanbogo, Lampung

    As soil conditioner, there are many functions of organic matter that would not be replaced by mineral material. Therefore, mineral soil conditioner is better focused on increasing quality of organic soil conditioner. The objective of the research was to obtain the effectiveness of soil conditioner formula (organic matter and zeolit) and its application technique (dose and phase application) in improving soil quality. The research was conducted at KP Tamanbogo, Lampung for three seasons (2006/2007). The experiment employed a split plot design with three reflications. Application techniques of soil conditioner (dose and phase aplication) as main plots and three types formula of soil conditioner as sub plots. Corn was used as test crop. Parameters observed were plant growth and production, and changes in soil properties. The results showed that soil conditioner that applied on Typic kanhapludults could significantly increased corn growth and yield. Soil conditioner with higher organic matter proportion has better effect on corn growth and yield as well as on physical soil properties, which indicated by soil permeability and aggregate stability. The addition of 20% of zeolit in soil conditioner formula increased soil microorganism activities, but the additional up to 30% decrease microorganism activities. The changes of organic matter and zeolit proportion in soil conditioner has significantly effect on soil pH and N content, but has no significantly effect on P, K content, and CEC. Compared to innitial soil condition, application of soil conditioner could increase CEC from <4 cmolc kg-1 to 5.85 cmolc kg-1 respectively. Soil conditioner was better to be applied periodically but must be done every season. For degraded soil such as at KP. Tamanbogo, soil conditioner was applied with 10 t ha-1 dose for innitial rehabilitation process, hereinafter with 5 t ha-1 annual crop season dose
